ahhh - my friends! I am FINALLY done checking out every gallery, and answering every person who faved or commented my DD. What a job! At the end of the first day I had 781 comments, etc, and after that I just lost track. It was exciting and fun, but also a lot of work, so I'm glad to be done!
I now have lots of new watchers so

and I hope that I can keep you interested!
I learned a few things from having a DD.
a: there are LOT and I mean a LOT of very young people on DA
b: most of them are manga and anime artists. I'm SO out of the loop on this stuff. I can appreciate the work in them for sure, but I'm afraid that I have NO idea who these characters are.
c: There are a lot of people who think that cross stitch is admirable, but also a bit crazy. hey guys - it's not hard - it just takes patience!

d: If I ever get another one, I'm not sure if I would visit them all and answer each person again. I think it would be interesting however, to see what kinds of people would respond to different kinds of art. For example, with this piece, a lot of young people, and people who are into dragons and such fav'd and commented. It would be interesting to see who the majority of people would be who would fav and comment something like a scenic photo.
Anyways, I would have been done sooner, but I had to take my puter to the shop for 2 days for some work (had my memory expanded so it's faster now) and then my internet went down for 2 days, and I had to get them to fix it. What a PITA!! But, so far so good - things are faster and working well (knock on wood)
Question - from visiting so many pages I am reminded of something that I often wonder about. Why do people hide ALL of the comments on their page? And if you see that they do that, do you still comment, seeing as it seems that they dont' really want the comments??
We are FINALLY getting a break from the cold. Damn time too - my car wouldn't start yesterday with a -36 (w/o windchill) so it was a crazy day right from the start, trying to figure out how to get myself and my children to work/school and then to sports, etc afterwards. I'm SO glad to have a little reprieve.
I know there was other stuff I had to talk about, but I can never remember it all once I sit down to actually write it.
Thanks again to

who submitted my work Moonlight Visit for a DD - check out her gallery - she is new to the cross stitch design game, and she's got some adorable pieces that are very different from the mainstream patterns on the market!
I hope you'll enjoy my features this time around. I tried to pick a good variety from my most recent fav's. Many of these haven't been viewed a lot yet, so I hope that you'll give them a look.
I'll be able to catch up on the journals in my messages now, and replying to anyone who's written to me lately, and also, post a few new deviations (I didn't dare until I was caught up!

Happy to be part of the *stitchingpirates crew!
Congrats on the DD, and I hope I never get one, answering the 70 comments a day is enough for me.
