So the fair is in town. I always look at it as an opportunity to spend a whole lot of money and time at a place that I'd rather avoid, but I tolerate it for a: my children and b: the people watching. Yup - people.... doesn't the fair just bring out all the freaky people??
Now, I don't want any self proclaimed freaky people who read this journal to get upset, because we all have a little bit of freak inside us in the dark, deep places. I think freaky people are cool and I know many of them. However, I'm talking about real, hard core freaky people. The kind that only come out in the daylight when the fair is in town.
I always leave the fair with a few insights and I will share them with you. Just please remember - these are tongue in cheek and meant to be read with a humerous eye!
1) spandex is not a given right. Just because you CAN put it on does not mean that you SHOULD.
2) If people are looking at you it doesn't necessarily mean that you look good in said spandex.
3) Even if you are wearing black spandex.... Please.... PLEASE for God's sake.... wear some underwear. And not a thong. A thong is not considered underwear when you are wearing spandex.
So, anyways, I took my camera with me and for the first time tried Shoot From the Hip. it was interesting. I haven't even looked at my shots yet so I may have a camera full of crap but hey - you may see some different stuff from me coming up. I hope you don't mind.
In other news, I went to autopac about that little car accident of mine and so far they are saying I'm in the clear and the other driver is at fault, so will have to pay for the repairs to my car. I'm mostly just really glad that it wont' affect my license!
Did'ja notice my new journal look ? What do you think? I'm not sure about the brown/orange combination - I feel like I'm writing on a loaf of bread. It may not last long.

I'd actually have to see you in your spandex biking shorts to determine if they are ok or not. Feel free to send me a photo of that. Preferably from every possible angle, and several from the back.
Speaking of bikers in spandex- just this week I was walking and a woman passed me by on her bike wearing spandex. Black, shiny spandex. Black, shiny, SEE THROUGH spandex. That's where my underwear initiative came from. I didn't want to look, but it was like a train accident - no matter how bad it was, I just couldn't look away.....
