So, do you remember that guy who I wrote about a few journals back who referred to me as a whale?? I thought you would....
So, he just so happens to live right next door to my very straight laced in laws.
Well, we went over for Easter dinner tonight and he happened to be out in his front yard. So we all stood and conversed for a few minutes - most of it him insulting me and my family. We got a few good jabs in ourselves, but finally I had enough and I yelled across the yard "I hope the Easter Bunny shits in your cereal bowl tonight!!!!"
I then spun around on my heel to stalk off into the house and then I spotted it. My in law's kitchen window.
Open.
I actually winced when I saw it. Physically winced.
I consoled myself by telling me that they probably weren't in the kitchen anyways...... yeah - that's likely....... seeing as we're going for dinner.
So I carried in my strawberry pecan spinach salad to hear "Well. We could certainly hear that Sandra was here...."
Ugh.
I'm sure they were SO VERY PROUD the day their son married me..........
So, a question for you my friends. Have any of you ever had laser eye surgery? I'm seriously considering having it done. I've been wearing glasses since the third grade. Since that time I have never been able to look out upon the world without a piece of glass between it and my eyes. I feel like it might be time. Time to be able to see the sunset without streaks, or time to go out into the cold snow and come in the house and not have to wait for 5 minutes for my glasses to unfog so I don't fall up (or down) the stairs. Time to swim without being blind or having to wear prescription goggles (boy, those are sexy I tell ya!) It's just time.
It's kind of a scary thought though - even though I know many people who've had it done and love the results. I mean.... these are my eyes. It's important to think about the risks. I also wonder if I'd feel lost without my glasses. I mean, they are the first thing I reach for every morning, and the last thing every night. I almost feel like they are a security blanket for me in some ways.
I'd love to hear about your personal experience if you have any with this.
Thank you all for the comments, faves and follows! I appreciate every single one of them!

Enjoy the features - and spread some DA love around!
Oh - and I hope that the Easter Bunny is truly good to you, and you don't find any "surprises" in your cereal bowl on Easter morning

Class choices Sandra, appreciated the inclusion my lovely
I only know one friend who had the LS and he loves the results and would do it again in a heartbeat,I`d got for it.
I'm definitely leaning towards the surgery -I just need to finally make up my mind and book an appointment for a consult and that will get the wheels rolling. That is, IF they say I'm eligible for it.
That salad sounds really good!! My mom makes a similar one but with walnuts and a poppy seed dressing. Yum.
I only know a couple people who have had the Lasik surgery and they are SO happy they did it. I get squeamish thinking about it, and yeah, worry that something could go wrong, but I really haven't heard of that happening, except in rare situations. And you could always get some non-prescription fashion glasses to wean you off your security blanket
I'm leaning towards the surgery. My sister had it done and she can't / won't shut up about it!
Yeah - I was thinking that - I could buy pretty, decorative ones!
I've never had to wear glasses, but I can feel myself getting closer to that point... at least reading glasses.
Get some with no lenses in them
That's one of my concerns. I'm at that dreaded age where my eyes are going to start changing again, so I don't want to do it if it's only going to last 2 years and then I'll be back in glasses again! Readers... ok - but if it's full time it's hardly worth it - although - my eyes are SO bad right now it still would be a lot better I'm sure.
This getting old business sucks big time! Seems like I turned 40 and everything started going to shit. I thought 40 was supposed to be the new 20... or is it 30.... well either way, it's not happening here!
I think we need a holiday with a couple of masseurs named Sven and Drake who don't speak English and who look amazing in spandex. Or maybe we can just get the guys to dance a few special ones for us on the World Tour......
nah... let's go for the masseurs........
Oooh - I like the masseur idea a LOT! Let's do it! We can watch the guys rehearsing for the tour for a good giggle while getting our massages.
