It was a dark and foggy night............

Journal Entry: Sun Nov 14, 2010, 9:43 AM
So I went to the Cemetery

We don't often get night fog around here, and when I left work I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to go out and shoot.

I also learned something - trees collect fog. And then they rain. Go under the trees - get rained on. Go away from the trees - no rain. Go under the trees - get rained on - away = no rain.

I hadn't realized it, and when I entered the cemetery I started hearing that sound on the roof of my car. Freaked me out a little at first, but once I figured it out I was just mystified by it!

I also have decided that I need a new tripod. Mine just doesn't cut it. I can't afford a $1000.00 Manfrotto or anything like that - but I need something sturdier that won't creep when I'm trying to take long exposure night shots. I can't seem to take anything vertical with mine because it just starts sliding and destroys everything.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a good tripod that won't break my bank account, that doesn't weigh too much?

It was cold last night too - bitter wind, with moisture in the air.... bad combination. I only got a few good shots, but I'm still happy I went out.

I've been a bit laid up lately with back problems. I don't know what I did but I've been having a terrible time sleeping and waking up with terrible pain through out my whole back. Today I have an appointment with the Chiropractor for the second time this week and I've been lying on my back in bed at night with an ice pack under me. Yeah - not that comfy for someone who is constantly cold anyways  So then after that I intend to go Christmas shopping. My sister is coming to visit next weekend and I need to have all their gifts ready to go with them. Sounds like a great day, hey? I really don't like shopping. I like it when I know what I want and where it is, but so often when it comes to gifts I just end up wandering around the stores aimlessly hoping something is going to catch my eye....... but it doesn't. Wish me luck with that

No worries sweetie -- with your luck (or mine!) he was probably gay, anyway! :giggle:

Sounds like he is a "keeper" though, since it sounds like he did a good job. ;)

you know for the bigger woman (like us - I'm an E) we need those holes in the bed like they have for your face so they can just slot in and hang away so they don't cause us any problems during massages!

I've never had one from a bloke (ahem) before - you are a brave, brave woman! :D

LOL! Oh my! that does leave an ..... interesting picture to the imagination, doesn't it??!! LOL!

I'm pretty sure that I've been to places before where that panel drops down a little bit -but I know for sure that this is the first time I've had THIS much discomfort!!

Well, I didn't have much choice - I was desperate and it was the only place in town available, so I had to suck down my pride and just go for it! LOL!
