So I went to the Cemetery
We don't often get night fog around here, and when I left work I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to go out and shoot.
I also learned something - trees collect fog. And then they rain. Go under the trees - get rained on. Go away from the trees - no rain. Go under the trees - get rained on - away = no rain.
I hadn't realized it, and when I entered the cemetery I started hearing that sound on the roof of my car. Freaked me out a little at first, but once I figured it out I was just mystified by it!
I also have decided that I need a new tripod. Mine just doesn't cut it. I can't afford a $1000.00 Manfrotto or anything like that - but I need something sturdier that won't creep when I'm trying to take long exposure night shots. I can't seem to take anything vertical with mine because it just starts sliding and destroys everything.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a good tripod that won't break my bank account, that doesn't weigh too much?
It was cold last night too - bitter wind, with moisture in the air.... bad combination. I only got a few good shots, but I'm still happy I went out.
I've been a bit laid up lately with back problems. I don't know what I did but I've been having a terrible time sleeping and waking up with terrible pain through out my whole back. Today I have an appointment with the Chiropractor for the second time this week and I've been lying on my back in bed at night with an ice pack under me. Yeah - not that comfy for someone who is constantly cold anyways So then after that I intend to go Christmas shopping. My sister is coming to visit next weekend and I need to have all their gifts ready to go with them. Sounds like a great day, hey? I really don't like shopping. I like it when I know what I want and where it is, but so often when it comes to gifts I just end up wandering around the stores aimlessly hoping something is going to catch my eye....... but it doesn't. Wish me luck with that

Sounds like he is a "keeper" though, since it sounds like he did a good job.
I've never had one from a bloke (ahem) before - you are a brave, brave woman!
I'm pretty sure that I've been to places before where that panel drops down a little bit -but I know for sure that this is the first time I've had THIS much discomfort!!
Well, I didn't have much choice - I was desperate and it was the only place in town available, so I had to suck down my pride and just go for it! LOL!
