Maaaaaaaaaaaaaan............ Go to San Diego!
Seriously - there are more hot chicks there than a hen house with a heat lamp!!
We just got home last night from our vacation! We were in San Diego for a week and did tons of stuff. We went to a football game (well, ok, "I" didn't go - I laid by the pool and went shopping) we went to a baseball game (unfortunately I had to drag my ass to that one - sheesh- how in the world did baseball become America's favourite sport?? Give me some action or give me death...) We went to the Zoo (which was spectacular, even though it was extremely hot out - but thank God for refillable cups!!

) We went to see the USS Midway (wow - I have a whole new respect for seamen! I couldn't wait to get out of there - it was so hot and claustrophobic - but amazing) We went to Mission beach- (holy crap! talk about a busy beach!) Then we went to some other place that I don't even know where we were so we could snorkel (may be the only place I was able to get any good photos from!) And what else did we do?? oh yeah! we drove to Anaheim to go to Knotts Berry Farm. (why is it called that anyways? It should be called Roller CoasterVille) Then we were entertained for an evening by a group (can't remember their name) but it was a band made up of several members from bands from the past. Guys from Toto, Journey, Boston, Steppenwolf, etc. It was pretty good. I'm not sure my kids enjoyed it all that much though... heh heh heh!!
What a busy week! It was fun, but it sure is good to come home again. It took us 18 hours to get home. AND during a 5 hour flight, my son decided it was a good time to get sick. He puked most of it, and not all of it was well directed...... if you get my meaning.....

So what did I learn from our little excursion? well.......
I learned that I don't own enough halter tops. Granted, it is winter here for almost 6 months of the year, and with spring fall we don't have a lot of halter top time. Not only that, but you know... I'm not exactly "built" for halter tops anymore. Not until they start making them with boob pockets that hang down past your muff.
I learned that people in California are always going somewhere. Our trip to Anaheim on Interstate 5 was eye opening. We were in several traffic jams (never had THAT pleasure before) and it was interesting how every section of that highway was full at every single moment. Seriously - bumper to bumper for 2 hours - Where in the hell were all those people going??!!!
I learned that there are really big, big, big, huge even, beetles there. They are shiny and iridescent blue and they are, amazingly, not that scary. Isn't it amazing what colour can do for an ugly, scary creature?? I need to get myself a blue, iridescent dress

I learned that Macy's has some damn good kick ass sales in sizes that FIT!! YAY!!!
I learned that they don't have clouds in San Diego, but they do have beautiful trees that bloom in the most brilliant pinks, red, orange and yellow colours. I'm jealous over this.
I learned that there are a LOT of homeless people. We see a few here in our small city, but when you go to a really big place, they are everywhere. It's very sad to see

I learned that when in a strange city, don't always trust your GPS to give you directions to SAFE pizza places. No - they will sometimes lead you to places that you have to order through bullet proof glass, read posters on how to stay calm during a robbery, and you have to get your order through a steel double ended drawer. Yeah....... and the pizza wasn't even good!!
Thanks for reading through my not very interesting trip stories my friends! I have SO much catching up to do - but I wanted to update my journal.
Thank you so much my friends for the birthday wishes, llamas and such! I was so pleasantly surprised! I've been dreading this birthday for quite a while. It was my 40th and I have been trying to ignore it. We celebrated in SD at Dick's Last Resort, where as the sign says "They have Hooters, but we've got Dicks!!" I had to wear a huge white paper hat that said "Great. It's my 21st birthday, and I'm drinking lemonade" (at least they were kind about the age) but yeah, I had to wear it like a dork! That place is so much fun. If you've never been - you've GOT to go! But don't expect a "normal" restaurant experience

Check out the features my friends, and my love to you all!!

City traffic suxs too. I love it that since I left the Dallas/Fort Woth area the only "traffic Jam" we have is when a combine is moving fields and blocks traffic. XD
Sorry about the puky kid. I have one that gets sick everytime we are in a car for more that 3 hours. Dramimen.
I'm glad I don't have to deal with that kind of traffic daily. I think that it would push me over the edge to "all the way" crazy...
Why do you think that people that live in cties are crazy.
